Getting started — Strata
Strata replaces branch choreography with a small, repeatable loop. The same six steps appear in the homepage figure; they are described here as prose.
- An agent receives a task — tracked with an owner, dependencies and a status.
- Strata creates a workspace — isolated, at the current authoritative revision. No branches are created or named by hand.
- Context is retrieved — decisions, discoveries and checkpoints relevant to the task.
- The agent submits changes — as a candidate, not a push to a branch.
- Strata validates and integrates — against current state. Overlaps return as structured conflicts.
- History and context persist — with provenance, for the next agent or developer.
The concurrent integration simulation shows three agents moving through this loop, including one structured conflict and its resolution.
