Persistent context

Your agents forget. Your repository shouldn't.

Agents record what they learn as structured context. Each record carries its source revision and a status, so it can be verified or superseded as the code moves on.

Agents record what they learn as structured context: task objectives, architectural decisions, implementation discoveries, progress checkpoints and handoffs. Each record carries its source revision and a status, so it can be verified or superseded as the code moves on.

Strata stores what agents explicitly write. It does not read a model's private reasoning. Context is evidence, and the next agent checks it against the current repository state.

      Context records

      RecordMeaningExample statuses
DecisionAn architectural or implementation choice, with provenance.Recorded, Verified, Superseded
DiscoveryA constraint or fact learned while testing.Provisional, Verified
CheckpointProgress and remaining work at session end.Recorded

A status never depends on color alone: each carries a glyph (■ ▲ ● ◐ ○ ✓), so the state stays legible in grayscale and for color-blind visitors.
